WALK THAT WALK: Japanese standards at KEIZO

So, I just got back from Davao last night and cho decided to hit Keizo at Burgos Circle, The Fort. Well if you're familiar with Burgos Circle nowadays, it's very crowded. (Unlike before when it wasn't crowded at all). So much for having Distillery as the only "drinking place" there before. We had dinner at Melo's. Then I really wanted to drink a little. Take note, just a little. LOL So we were actually looking for a quiet bar/pub place. Rue and Izumi were totally out of our options cause it's just too crowded there. So there we were walking along Burgos Circle, about to give up. Then we saw...
The place was deserted. Well not really, there was a woman eating by herself. (Predictable). Their staff was so accommodating. They even did the "bowing" to us. Twas so cute. Haha! Then we ordered their Sake and California Maki.
Sake bored me to death! And honestly, I'd rather go for the more "strong" ones. Vodka perhaps? Well, it was okay. We weren't really planning on getting drunk anyway. The maki was really really REALLY good. I have no idea why though. We also saw the chef and the owner of Keizo. Both of them were Japanese. Maybe that's why their maki tasted so authentic.
So when we got home, some of my other friends came over. We were having our "cheap thrill night". We were drinking GSM blue mixed with apple ice tea. Then of course, we all went to Privé after one bottle. Typical us.

YVANISM: Jose Killed Me Last Night

Every time my friends would ask me out to drink, I never said no. I'm always up for drinking. I don't care where we're gonna drink, just as long as I get drunk then I'm cool. As the saying goes, "drinking is a sport." And I've really come to appreciate drinking as a sort of escape for problems. Yes, it doesn't solve anything. But there is just something about being drunk that makes you forget about things you want to forget. Even though you'll only forget it for a couple of hours, I want that feeling. I crave for that escape. I'm 20 now, and it really took me a while to discover what my killer is. (In terms of alcohol.) And I found out what kills me! No, it's not 151. Tequila is my killer!
As you can see from our super dirty table last night, that tall bottle named Jose Cuervo killed me once again. Every time we'd take shots of it, I just cringed. I'm so scared in taking shots of tequila... It tastes like rubbing alcohol. And the lemon that you bite into after taking a shot? It doesn't help either. Maybe I am just over exaggerating about the taste, but I don't know. There are a lot more better-tasting alcohol out there. And tequila is certainly not one of my favorites. And yes, I was so drunk AGAIN. We had a bottle of cheap brandy at home. Had a pitcher of Kamikaze, 2 bottles of Bacardi, a bottle of Jose Cuervo, and a couple bottles of beer at the club. And by the way, there were just only 4 of us. Imagine... imagine.
